Even easier is using rolled oats to make a homemade cold cereal (muesli), thereby avoiding the expensive (and usually not good for us) boxed brands.
And this doesn’t only have to be for breakfast. Try it as a snack at work or as something a little sweet at night.
How to make it?
- Pour milk into a cereal bowl.
- Add a little agave nectar, maple syrup or honey, and dissolve to make sweetened milk.
- Add enough oats to achieve the desired consistency.
- Mix in (you choose) raisins or other dried fruit; walnuts or other nuts; and cinnamon.
- Eat and enjoy.
